Health Information Week (HIW) is an annual, multi-sector campaign to promote the good quality health resources that are available to the public and to encourage partnership working across sectors. Whilst primarily focussed on sharing information with the public, we believe that Health Information Week should also be about recognising the professionals who collaborate and share best practice with each other in helping to create a better and safer health and care through the use of information and technology.

Core to the values of Fed-IP and the Well Connected campaign is a recognition that society needs better health and care. That’s only going to happen by the professionals who can harness information and technology, and have the integrity to put people and their communities first, coming together and inspiring each other to deliver citizen impact.

We want you to help us in promoting the ‘other side’ of health information, the professionals who use, manage and build the systems that are enabling the future of heath and care. We want to use Health Information Week as an opportunity to share the role health informatics professionals play in supporting the health and care of the nation and to help build trust with the public in how their information is used.
